Meanwhile, Zwitserleven had cast Kees Brusse aside and replaced him with Huub Stapel.
Now I didn’t understand those commercials at all.
Surely Huub Stapel was nowhere near retirement age?
What on earth did that man have to do with retirement?
And what was he doing there on that palm beach with Ellen ten Damme?
She wasn’t ready to blab, either, was she?
Was the idea behind the commercial that I could lounge on a palm beach at such a young age if Zwitserleven would take care of my retirement?
That seemed strong to me.
But even though I didn’t understand the commercials, apparently they worked.
And still do, because the Zwitserleven advertising campaign has now become the longest-running advertising campaign in the Netherlands.
